Chef Gil holds dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. A seasoned professional, Chef Gil honed his culinary expertise in some of San Diego's most renowned hotels. His dedication to excellence earned them the prestigious AAA Four Diamond award while leading the culinary team at Grove Steakhouse. Chef Gil is also the visionary behind the successful launches of several distinguished dining establishments, including 7mile restaurant, Sheraton Carlsbad Resort, and Baron Long at Viejas Casino. Throughout his career, he has had a supportive partner in Janice, a lactation consultant. Beyond the kitchen, Chef Gil and his partner Janice are proud parents to two young aspiring chefs: Aiden Kai, age 12, and Ryder Lyric, age 6, both of whom share their love for cooking and creativity in the kitchen.
